Some Of The Upper Echelon Characters From This Tragic Comedy...

Dr. Tamer Tadros is the "Medical Director" who you never see, not a real hands on type of guy..."Medical Director" you say?? mmmmmmmm, I wonder what the definition is of a proactive medical director?? Hands on, meets with all medics regularly, conducts CME's, cares about staff training and current certifications perhaps just to name a few...Your lucky if you see or hear from this guy twice a year, and one of those times will be at the rotary club:)
Apparently Shirlene Henriques the former CEO of the HSA is now over working at the allied council board, the same board that fraudulantly certifies expired paramedics, in other words, FRAUDAMEDICS!! Remember the Cayman EMS manager fraudamedic Stephen Anthony Duval? She was the one who hired him!!!!! And it gets better, read this Cayman Net News quote a couple months back:
"Mr Eden said the Council for Professions Allied with Medicine was now composed of Elaine Campbell, Chairperson; and, Dr Jamal Khan, Deputy Chairperson, along with Stephen Duval, Joan Terry and Estella Scott-Roberts."
Unnnnnnbelievable, oh my god, say it ain't so grandma, you mean to tell me the UNCERTIFIED fraudamedic Stephen Anthony Duval who has an expired national registration and is scrambling to get certified in ACLS is on the board that's suppose to certify people as paramedic's and emt's in the Cayman Islands?????? I scratch your back, you scratch my back, right shirlene!!!! Keep up the great work gal!!!!! Ta Ta

Some Of The Most Professional Certified Paramedics I Know....

On our left we have Martin Amos and Tracy Gibbs...Martin is loved by all and truly is the consumate professional....His wife is a joy to talk to and he has been there on the island for 8 loooooong years....Gotta hand it to him, I don't know how someone can stay there that long, the man is tough as nails not to mention one of the best paramedics I know.....
Tracy is also a delight to work with who has a wide range of knowledge and experience to back it up...She is a friendly gal who takes her profession very seriously and always thinks of the patient first...She is an excellent person if you have to talk about boy problems or gal problems:) Good luck Tracy..........

Not All Are Fraudamedics....Some Take Pride In There Job!!!

For instance, we have Debra Gaffigan and Junier Ferguson to the left, Debra is a dedicated employee who pays out of her own pocket to travel to the U.K. to maintain her paramedic CERTIFICATION!!!!!! You go girl!!
And on top of that she teaches ACLS and CPR/First Aid.....And yes, she maintains and keeps current her teaching CERTIFICATIONS as well....A pleasant and funny gal to work with....Truly dedicated to her profession!!!
Junier is also an up and comer who is a dedicated EMT-B and who will no doubt make a great paramedic someday....Hopefully he can get around managements bullshit and get the time and the funds to go to paramedic school...Junier is one of the nicest fellows there is and he is extreamly keen on learning although he will hold a dollar tighter than a chicken's ass........Good luck Junier, great guy to work with!!!!

Fraudamedics Unmasked!!!!!!

Dennis Fennell (shorter) and Gifford prendergast(taller) in the background of this photo-

Dennis Fennell- Who failed the michigan state exams and school exams! On the staff schedule he's listed as an EMT-P, ya right. Dennis is the one with the delightful personality. You just feel like driving a 12 inch steel nail through his head every time you look at him....keep up the great work dennis, Dennis is off the "rig" because he has a supposed back injury. Instead the "brilliant" Stephen Duval lets him come in the office where he surf's the internet all day long and goes outside and chat's with his friends the security guard staff all the while still collecting 3000 a month for all the hard earned contributions he makes to EMS while surfing the internet for car parts, way to go Dennis, keep up the hard work, hopefully the cocktail of anti-depressants your on will make your eyeballs straighter:)

Gifford Prendergast- this guy is registered as an emt but thinks hes a paramedic and knows it all!! hes been off the job now for almost 3 years now with a "back injury" and now he's the acting supervisor, scary... he hurt is back with that "child touching" incident a couple years ago:), hopefully jiffy doesnt trade his taxi in for a childrens school bus, he has never been the same, if you know what i mean:)

Another Fraudamedic At Large!!!

Sherman Myles- click on the black shade on the left, who proclaims he passed the state boards and is now being paid as a paramedic!!!! he's nowhere to be found on the florida registry as a paramedic..Figure that one out! If you have a secret this is not the guy you want finding out, from the East End to the West Bay and all the way to the Northside, everyone will know.........This boy just cant shut his fraudamedic ass up.......

Kendal Connor, We Hope You Get Well...

Hey Kendal, hope you get well soon, if you don't know how to read this just get an ex-pat to read it to you, nice haircut by the way, must have been cut while on duty:)

Professionalism And Respecting Each Other Is A Start!!!

Well, well, well......I must admit, it is getting pretty nasty over in the "comments" section between some people.......I understand that their are people on both sides of the fence that are pretty angry with each other...But that is NOT the purpose of this blog....Our intent of this blog is very simple: start improving the Cayman Islands EMS with getting current registrations in order and various other serious issues that were previously mentioned in this blog or face the possibility of never having another ex-pat work there ever again!!!! That's it......This blog is hoping to force positive change not only for the paramedics and emt's, but for the patients in the Cayman Islands who they have to treat and deserve better....So far, we are seeing mini-steps in that Stephen Duval and various others are finally upgrading there ACLS and PALS certifications....Hopefully this is the start of something positive in the Cayman Islands, although there is much work to be done there, we must start somewhere...There is no use in partaking in homophobic comments nor personal and family attacks...Some of the locals still believe that T. Henriques and J. Dardano are facilitating this blog however contrary to popular belief they actually have nothing to do with it except for J. Dardano's response to personal comments about his family...As for T. Henriques, he did respond to one of the nasty comments made about Kendal Connor's serious condition in only trying to defend Kendal's problems...That's it...As far as this blog is concerned, the deep seeded anger towards the locals and vice versa measures into the many paramedics that have left the Cayman Islands with a sour taste in there mouth...This blog is the culmination of many paramedics that have left and want to see a more positive change before seeing any more of their fellow countrymen go through the hell that they themselves experienced down there...Our little "green" ambulance service is tired of hearing the horror stories and complaints upon there return... Professionalism, respect for the Caymanian patients they treat and stopping the fraud is all we want....Fraudamedics, you have the ability to change and become better believe it or not...Do not feel ashamed or at a lower level, we are all human, go out and re-take some courses and get currently certified. Give that respect and dignity to your patients, they deserve it, don't you think??? You will also be much more respected in the EMS community and on this blog not to mention feeling a lot better about yourself for doing the RIGHT thing....Look at yourselves in the mirror late at night and ask yourslf if you want to be better, if not, you are in the wrong profession and doing a great injustice to your patients, which is who counts in the end of it all.. In closing, let's be a little more respectful and professional to each other in the comments section, that goes for everybody, and think of ways to improve the service, and for those of you who do not want to improve the service maybe you should leave or step down from your post, Ta Ta for now.....EMS Blogster!!!!!!

EMS Blogster Is Back From Vacation!!!

Hello everyone,

I'm back from a much needed vacation, my partner took over from me for a couple of weeks and unlike Cayman Islands EMS fraudamedics he was on time and did a terrific certifiable job!!!!!!! Great to be back!!!! First off, we have some good wishes to go out, I would like to wish Kendal Connor a heart felt get well from his "chest pain" episode that resulted in angioplasty!!!!! Hope you get well soon Kendal and race to a speedy recovery back to the "rigs"!!!!! Sitting down getting haircuts while on duty really took a toll on him:) Also, while your out of commision for a few months don't be afraid to take some certificate courses to get yourself certified...After all, they paid for you to get treated in Texas, might as well go the extra mile and pay for your EMT-B course as well!! What the hell is Stephen Anthony Duval the fraudamedic going to do now that he has 3 fraudamedics on the shelf??? jiffy, dennis and now kendal....that's going to be one crowded Georgetown office of fraudamedics on the internet looking for car parts and school yards:) On to more exciting news, apparently, word has it, that Stephen Anthony Duval is taking the ACLS course!!!!! Holy shit, say it ain't so grandma??!!@@&&%% Don't forget Stephen, your not a certified ACLS instructor yet, so I better not catch you and Sherman Myles teaching that stuff at St. matthew's medical school!!!!!!! I wonder why all of a sudden he's interested in taking ACLS after all these years??:) Apparently Northside and Westbay stations also have new comfy seats to lay on??%$#@! Holy shit, say it ain't so grandma?^%$#@!
It's about time, only took 25 years and a national blog to give them a little push to success:) No more sleeping on piss smelling couches!!!! Hooray!!! Stephen, your on the right track now, don't forget about the mold, roof, protocols, racism, lies, fraud, leaks, EMT-P registration and PALS registrations and you'll almost be there!!!!! Keep up the good work, I'm glad I can help, don't thank me just yet!!!!!!!! Remember, Christmas is coming up!!!!! Also, in the comments section there is a smart alec who goes by the name "ride along" who just can't help himself...... He loves giving detailed patient/scene summaries and tries with futility to slam some paramedics, he does a great job of showing the world his "UNPROFESSIONALISM" by breaking the number 1 rule: PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY!!!!!! I won't slam him here since he's been doing a great job making himself look like an ass!!! Hey "ride along", answer me something, what's worse, stumbling on a radio patient report or not having current certifications, child touching or just plain old giving the WRONG medication to someone????? Thought so....You mention these fraudamedics are "locally certified", but in order to be locally certified you must have a CURRENT registration with a governing body in 1 of the 6 first world countries, not my words but the Health Council of the Cayman Islands!!!! And just in case you lost the paperwork I would be more than happy to post the original document from the Health Council on this blog!!!! Anyways that's enough happy tidings for tonight, maybe these guys won't make fun of my driving anymore!!! I'm starting to get into the Christmas spirit of giving, I have a lot of presents for the fraudamedics this holiday season!! Remember Stephen, no teaching while your not certified!!! That's a No NO.........Ta Ta for now

THE LAST TIME

This is the last time I am warning USA, UK, Canadian Paramedics.
It is CAREER SUICIDE in Cayman Islands EMS

From Comments Section

Tidings from the Middle East,

It's funny what I'm ready on this blog, as I did a tenure there some time back and left for my current post.

I was considering returning as I found the following from a link someone sent me who still works there.

"Emergency Medical Service provides emergency care and transport. Faith Hospital boasts a team whose members are certified EMTs plus one paramedic instructor. EMS personnel are also all certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support."
Here's the link:

www.caymannewresident.com/page_id_11.html

If someone could confirm that this is fact then I'll have to discredit this blog.

On the other hand I'm inclined to believe otherwise from the information received from this blog, which states the entire local staff at the service are fruads.

Please provide me with some information, before Ire-apply. Sometimes things are blown out of reality square because of personal issues, in an effort t make it worse than it is.
Then sometimes icing is added to bitter herbs to make it more attractive and hide it's true contents.

Why re-apply you ask? Just because it is no better here - REALLY!

S.A.
EMT-P

Hello from the Editor.

I have met a couple of the Guys from Faith Hospital on the Brac and they are indeed nice, friendly and down to earth professional pre-hospital providers. This blog has nothing to do with Cayman Brac or Little Cayman EMS workers. This Blog deals with the racist morons who work on Grand Cayman. The number one LIAR and hypocrite Fraudamedic being Steven Duval. If you worked there before you should know. If not , by all means apply. You will get hired. These guys are hurting. You will regret it.

First things first blog man.

I am not Duval.

Secondly, I've noticed that you Mr. Webster have made some errors youself. Please be reminded that this is a blog and not a formal report.

Let me say howver that I do agree that everyone should be certified. That much I'll give you. I do understand that these guys are locally licensed.

I'll give you some advice, as remember I'm the CEO (of a reputable US Company) with the MBA, making a month what you make a year...
and who were you again, oh yeah the lowly Medic Wanna be. The True Fraud!

Advice;
"Blessed is the man who having nothing to say, refuses to give us wordy evidence of the fact".

USMEDIC 1

PS If you want some real money and a real job, I'll probably hire you because you care about things but you may have to actually work for an EMS system in DC.

1:07 PM

Hey USMEDIC1

What a bell end you are. You are definitely a member of the Cayman Ambulance Service. Who else would know about local licenses unless you are from there? Who gives a toss about CEO/MBA or annual income. Why do feel you need to make this shit up? Is it to give your nonsense statements some credibility. My dear blogger, why would you get so angry unless you are from Cayman. Your identity....1. Steve McLaughlin. 2. Devorn Millar. 3. Steven Duval
I bet my balls one of you is USMEDIC1. Do you think a USA paramedic could be bothered with this nonsense.

Glad you guys are back on the blog. You run your service down more than this blog ever will.

Hey Duval...don't you get it? You had paramedics who were ACLS, PALS, BTLS instructors. Not just recently either. You also had one that was certified in the the U.S. as a Advanced Dive Medical Technician. Oh...but I forgot you knew that already. You just can't stop lying. It must be hard to break the pattern as you are so used to it.
You just do not understand that you cannot treat real professionals the way that you do. You still don't understand that trained people have options of places to work...and there are a lot nicer places than the Cayman Islands to work. With better working conditions too. I can go pretty much anywhere in the world with my education and training...as it is recognized internationally. Where can you go? As you are not even registered by an internationally recognized governing body. Duval...you make yourself look even worse everytime you open your mouth. You know the truth and so do we. Try not lying for once and see what it does for you. Duval...you should stop being so arrogant. Just try being a lot more humble and the truth will go a long way. I hope you can pull your attitude in a little to realize that respect is earned...and the ones who demand it without validation in any position...are not respected. Only you can change yourself. Good luck!

You may be wrong about this Duval guy. Seems to me according to the Caymen Net News that he's on the ball. If he was such a bad person and manager, why would he still be in that position? Could it be another problem? Just checking...let's look at the options...
1) Could you be the problem?............................................ No
2) Could Tier 1 level management be the problem?............ Yes
3) Could he be the problem?...............................................Absolutely, with out a doubt. HUGE LIAR
4) Finances? etc...................................................................It is a stinking rich Island

The list could go on. I think a consulting firm should say what the problem is.

I think I'll get refreshed and re-licensed and apply. Can't be that bad can it? Operating without protocols...sure...

I've been to all three of the Caymen's and even had encounters with teams from the smaller islands. We had a "dive accident" and those guys had it together. The lady was a Dr. and said the team from Little Caymen and caymen Brack were outstanding. EMS where knowledgable, friendly and profesional. The Faith Hospital-I love that name- was small but great too! Flew to Grand Caymen Island and was great chamber care. So I can't see too much being really bad. Besides who's perfect?

HEY USMEDIC 1 DO NOT LISTEN TO ALL THE GOOD ADVICE YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN. JUDGING BY YOUR COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE I WOULD SAY YOU ARE CAYMANIAN AND PROBABLY STEVEN DUVAL. ONLY STEVEN DUVAL WOULD HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT STEVEN DUVAL. THE CAYMAN NET NEWS IS A CAYMAN CONTROLLED PAPER AND STEVEN DUVAL IS A BORN LIAR. IF YOU ARE A GENUINE PARAMEDIC WHIICH I DON'T THINK YOU ARE. APPLY, BY ALL MEANS. GETTING A JOB IS PISS EASY. You have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was your funniest call ever in the Cayman Islands,HERES mine...

Our crew consisted of a close group of:

MEDIC(Tiago)
EMT(Michelle)
ME (EMT)
Ridealong

This pt was completely wrecked. We got called to a potential overdose(Dog City) which just turned out to be worried parents. Either way he was drunk enough to need to be wheeled out so I guess they did the right think by calling us. I didn't even get to see him until we were in the ambulance because the room was so small.

The medic(Tiago) and I started working on the pt and he started to babble like most drunks do. He noticed that the medic was married and commented on how great that was. After all how nice would it be to be married when he and his boyfriend had just broken up?

Then the medic(Tiago) says something to me about another first... after all when you're new all you have are firsts. The pt then notices me... sitting working on vitals, making sure the line drips ok. Just doing my job. And he starts to shamelessly hit on me.
Normal guys are bad enough... Staring at your face and giving you insane compliments about being the cutest ever and all that but drunks are worse. And being stuck in the back of a rig with one? Just imagine...
He tells me how sexy I am, how great it is that I'm not married, how lucky they are to work with such a sexy boy. Goes on and on. Of course our Medic(Tiago) isn't helping. The other EMT(Michelle)? Driving the rig and laughing!.The ambulance almost turn over with us...
When we got to the ER the staff, who I'm getting to know very well by the 3rd time in 4 hours, can't help but laugh at the pt who is still focused on me.

In the meantime the whole Ambulance Services had heard about my ordeal and can't help but think that it is great. When I get back everyone is waiting to hear about my first drunk. Of course my partners(Tiago and Michelle) have no problem filling in the answers to their questions, with full reenactment. Stumbling impression and all.

I'm so lucky to have such a close crew!!

I would like to give a whole lot of "BIG UP" to the genius who came up with the idea for this Blogsite. Not only is it very informative, but it is fun and user friendly.

This site is one in a million.

Keep Up the good Work.

The Number One Hit On Google - THE TRUTH.

Do a Google Search for "Cayman Islands EMS"

Look what comes in at number 1.

Fantastic.

The Laughing Stock of Pre-hospital Care.
The Clowns of the Caribbean.
Pinocchio is the EMS Manager.
If Clowns work on the ambulances they all must be part of a CIRCUS.

You would have more chance of survival if Bozo, Cooky and Blinko showed up at a car crash and started doing their act than the bunch of clowns who work on the ambulances in Grand Cayman.

After doing some research on clowns I must apologize. To all the Clowns of the World, I am deeply sorry for comparing a group of professional, dedicted individuals such as yourselves with the bunch of idiots who work on the ambulances on Grand Cayman.

I AM VERY SORRY IF I OFFEND ANY REAL CLOWNS. LISTED BELOW ARE A CLOWNS COMMANDMENTS AND CODE OF ETHICS. THE CAYMAN ISLANDS AMBULANCE SERVICE DOES NOT ABIDE BY ANY OF THE CLOWN COMMANDMENTS. SO NOT ONLY ARE THEY NOT CERTIFIED AS PARAMEDICS OR EMT'S THEY ARE NOT EVEN MORAL ENOUGH TO BE CONSIDERED CLOWNS.

Clown Code of Ethics - the eight clown commandments

1. I will keep my acts, performance and behavior in good taste while I am in costume and make up. I will remember, at all times that I have been accepted as a member of the clown club only to provide others, principally children, with clean clown comedy entertainment. I will remember that a good clown entertains others by making fun of him or herself and not at the expense or embarrassment of others.

2 .I will learn to apply my makeup in a professional manner. I will provide my own costume. I will carry out my appearance and assignment for the entertainment of others and not for personal gain or personal publicity when performing for either the International club or alley events. I will always try to remain anonymous while in makeup and costume as a clown, though there may be circumstances when it is not reasonably possible to do so.
3 . I will neither drink alcoholic beverages nor smoke while in makeup or clown costume. Also, I will not drink alcoholic beverages prior to any clown appearances. I will conduct myself as a gentleman/lady, never interfering with other acts, events, spectators, or individuals. I will not become involved in or tolerate sexual harassment or discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or any protected status.
4. I will remove my makeup and change into my street clothes as soon as possible following my appearance, so that I cannot be associated with any incident that may be detrimental to the good name of clowning. I will conduct myself as a gentleman/lady at all times.
5.While on appearance in makeup and costume, I will carry out the directives of the producer or his designated deputies. I will abide by all performance rules without complaint in public.
6. I will do my very best to maintain the best clown standards of makeup, costuming, properties, and comedy.
7. I will appear in as many clown shows as I possibly can.
8. I will be committed to providing an atmosphere free of discrimination and harassment for clowns of all ages to share ideas and learn about the art of clowning.

BomBom

Would You?

Would you get on a plane with an uncertified Pilot? NO

Would you get on a boat with an uncertified Captain? NO

Would you send your kids to a school with uncertified teachers? NO

Would you learn how to dive with an uncertified Dive Instructor? NO

Would you be represented in Court by an uncertified Attorney? NO

Would you put your kid in a nursery with uncertified child minders? NO

Would you go to a Doctor who had no License? NO

Would you let someone cut you open who was not a Surgeon? NO

Would you let someone administer drugs to you or your loved one in an ambulance who is not qualified to do so? YES

People in the Cayman Islands have Drugs administered to them, IV lines put in them, tubes put down their throats by people who are unqualified, who watch pornography on duty, who are always late, who constantly lie, who are racist, who have been in court on child touching charges, who bring guns to work and shoot Cayman wildlife, who commit fraud, who forge certificates, who intimidate qualified Paramedics.

Would You ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
