TESTIMONIALS START TO POUR IN!!!!!

We have many testimonials from paramedics all over the world starting to pour in here, i will post 2 of them and gradually over the upcoming weeks post ALL of them!! The first testimonial here is from a paramedic who did a 2 year stint here and who is HIGHLY qualified and has vast international work experience:

INVESTIGATE THE AMBULANCE SERVICE----------------------------------

How would you feel if your loved one suffered a heart attack or was seriously injured? No doubt you would have fear and apprehension. How would you feel to know that the ambulance crew that arrived to your home were not qualified as Paramedics or as Emergency Care Technicians (EMT)?IT IS FRIGHTENING TO THINK THAT YOU MAY BE MORE QUALIFIED AT TREATING YOUR LOVED ONE THAN THE AMBULANCE CREW THAT HAS TURNED UP. IT IS ALSO TERRIFYING THAT THE CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE PERSONNEL HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO EMERGENCY DRIVING TRAINING. SO WHEN YOU SEE THOSE AMBULANCES SCREAMING UP AND DOWN THE ROAD DRIVING LIKE MANIACS, REMEMBER THEY ARE NO MORE QUALIFIED TO DRIVE AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE THAN YOU ARE. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME UNTIL THEY KILL SOME ONE.AS ONE OF THE UNQUALIFIED CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE PERSONNEL TOLD A HIGHLY QUALIFIED EXPAT PARAMEDIC " YOU ONLY NEED 7 CAR LENGTHS TO BRING AN AMBULANCE TO A COMPLETE STOP FROM 70MPH" ???????????????? APPARTENTLY HE HAS CHANGED THE LAWS OF PHYSICS! ACCORDING TO THE UK HIGHWAY CODE AND THE USA RULES OF THE ROAD IT TAKES 315 FEET OR 24 CAR LENGTHS. BARE IN MIND THAT THIS IS FOR CARS AND NOT A HEAVY AMBULANCE. THE SAME GUY ALSO STICKS IV'S IN PEOPLE ADMINISTERS DEADLY DRUGS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO TRAINING. ALL OF THIS AFFECTS THE CAYMANIAN POPULATION MORE THAN THE EXPAT ONE.WHY NOT ASK TO SEE THE CREDENTIALS OF THE AMBULANCE STAFF ? NOT THEIR ID CARDS. THEIR PARAMEDIC LICENCES.ALL OF THE EXPATRIATE PARAMEDICS AND EMT'S HAVE THE HIGHEST CREDENTIALS AND CERTIFICATIONS FROM THE USA,UK AND CANADA.YET THEY ARE FORCED TO WORK WITH A CAYMANIAN EMT WITH NO QUALIFICATIONS OR RECOGNISED CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENCE.DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT, CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. PUBLIC RECORD. THERE ARE NO RULES FOR THE LOCALS AND 1000'S FOR THE EXPATS.THE FOLLOWING IS SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE SERVICE LOCAL EMPLOYEES.AGAIN DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. IT IS INCREDIBLE* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEE WHO THE HSA PAID FOR TO ATTEND PARAMEDIC SCHOOL IN THE USA. HE DID NOT PASS ANY OF HIS EXAMS, DID NOT GRADUATE. HE FORGED HIS GRADUATION CERTIFICATE AND REGISTRATION CERT. HE GOT CAUGHT BY THE HSA.HE WAS NOT FIRED.....????????? HE WORKED ON AN AMBULANCE RIGHT UP UNTIL HE JOINED THE POLICE !!!!!! IF HE IS A FRAUDSTER IN THE AMBULANCE SERVICE WHAT COULD HE DO IN THE POLICE.I WOULD ASK THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEE WHO WAS IN COURT FOR ALLEGED SEXUAL OFFENCES ON MINORS WHO STILL WORKS FOR THE HSA.I WOULD ASK THE POLICE AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER.* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPOYEE WHO IS PAST RETIREMENT AGE AND REFUSES TO TAKE ANY EXAMS. IS ALWAYS 30 MINS TO AN HOUR LATE FOR EVERY SHIFT AND ABSOLUTELY USELESS AT HIS JOB DOES NOT EVEN KNOW CPR ??????. HOPEFULLY HE HAS RETIRED BY NOW* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEE WHO THE HSA PAID TO ATTENDED PARAMEDIC SCHOOL IN THE USA WHO DID NOT PASS ANY PARAMEDIC EXAMS OR GRADUATE. HE WORKS AS A PARAMEDIC IN CAYMAN. HE IS ALSO THE BIGGEST RACIST AND TROUBLE MAKER. HE GETS AWAY WITH EVERYTHING. NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE TO THE CEO OF THE HSA AND ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. IF IT HAPPENED IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY HE WOULD BE FIRED AND IN COURT ON RACIST CHARGES. HE APPEARS TO BE PROTECTED FROM SOMEBODY IN HIGH MANAGEMENT.I WOULD ASK THAT SOME MEDICAL AUTHORITY INVESTIGATE AND/OR LABOR BOARD.* 2 CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEES WHO WERE ALLEGED TO BE PART OF A COCAINE/GUN SMUGGLING RING.THEY WERE CAUGHT. ONE TOOK THE RAP AND WENT TO PRISION THE OTHER STILL WORKS AT THE HSA.I WOULD ASK THE POLICE AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO INVESTIGATE THIS MATTER* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEE WHO DID PASS HIS PARAMEDIC EXAMS IN THE USA. HE HAS NOT BEEN REGISTERED IN OVER 5 YEARS.* A CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEE WHO BRINGS A GUN TO WORK WITH HIM IN THE NORTHSIDE WHERE HE SHOOTS LOCAL WILDLIFE.I WOULD ASK THE POLICE TO INVESTIGATE THIS BUT HIS BROTHER AND FATHER ALREADY WORK THERE, HE MAY EVEN WORK FOR THE POLICE NOW.* OTHER CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEES WHO REGULARLY WATCH PORNOGRAPHIC MOVIES ON THEIR LAPTOP COMPUTERS WHILE ON DUTY.*OTHER CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE EMPLOYEES WHO REGULARLY COME TO WORK SMELLING OF ALCOHOL.OPENLY RACIST COMMENTS TOWARDS EXPATS ARE COMMON PLACE. ANWHERE ELSE IN THE WORLD THIS WOUL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL.ALL OF THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS KNOWN TO A & E DIRECTOR AND NURSE MANAGER.BY FAR THE WORST MANAGERS I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.THERE ARE ONLY 3 AMBULANCES OPERATIONAL ON GRAND CAYMAN, ONE IN WEST BAY, ONE IN GEORGE TOWN AND ONE IN NORTHSIDE.3 AMBULANCES FOR 40,000 PLUS INHABITANTS. NOT TO MENTION THE TOURISTS AND CRUISE SHIPS.VERY RARELY ARE ALL 3 AMBULANCES RUNNING. WITH STAFFING PROBLEMS DUE TO RACISM AND INTIMIDATION COUPLED WITH POOR MAINTAINANCE. YOU ARE VERY LUCKLY IF 2 OPERATIONAL AMBULANCES ARE IN SERVICE AT ANY GIVEN TIME.THIS SUITS THE CAYMANIAN EMPLOYEES AS THEY HAVE UNLIMITED OVERTIME. AND THE POOR HSA ALWAYS PAYS.THE CAYMANIAN AMBULANCE STAFF ARE BY FAR THE WORST AMBULANCE PERSONNEL I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. TERRIBLE AT THEIR JOB AND HORRIBLY RACISTIF YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL PROBLEMS AND THINKING OF VACATIONING OR BUYING A PROPERTY IN CAYMAN. YOU MAY WANT TO THINK AGAIN.WHY DON'T YOU ASK ANY EXPAT MEMBER OF THE AMBULANCE SERVICE WHAT IT IS LIKE. THEY WILL GLADLY TELL YOU.FROM A MEDICAL STANDPOINT IT IS VERY SCARY. YOU HAVE PEOPLE ON AMBULANCES WHO REGULARLY ADMINISTER DRUGS WITHOUT TRAINING. THEY DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD. THEY ABSOLUTELY DESPISE EXPATSNO MATTER IF YOU ARE CAYMANIAN OR EXPATRIATE. THIS REALLY AFFECTS YOU.SO IF YOUR MOTHER/FATHER, BROTHER/SISTER, SON/DAUGHTER, AUNT/UNCLE OR BEST FRIEND HAS A MEDICAL OR TRAUMATIC EMERGENCY - REMEMBER THERE IS A 75% CHANCE THE CREW THAT YOU GET WILL NOT BE QUALIFIED.PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR THIS. CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. IT IS PUBLIC INFORMATION.I HOPE NONE OF YOU HAVE TO FIND OUT THE HARD WAY.THIS IS A VERY WEALTHY COUNTRY WITH A VERY, VERY POOR AMBULANCE SERVICE.IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEBODY DIES DUE TO INCOMPETENCE OR DANGEROUS DRIVING.**********************************************YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED**********************************************************************

The next testimonial is in response to the first one, and very short but very chilling and scary, also from a very QUALIFIED paramedic:

They already have, but they have been brushed under the carpet.

Another testimonial from a very well educated and respected CERTIFIED Paramedic:

Leaving the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority's EMS Service was just as exciting as the day that they hired me!!!Ahhhhhhhhhh. to be part of a REAL, PROFESSIONAL and, STRUCTURED EMS system again is outstanding! The education credits, the ability to advance your career and credentials, the non-expired drugs and co-workers. The desire to actually go to work and absolutely LOVE your job again. Not having to tell an "EMT" the difference between an oxygen mask and a nebulizer and when to do CPR. Vehicles that run and are appropriately maintained. Not having to clean your rig after the previous crew goes home and place bets on what is missing from your ambulance EACH AND EVERY SHIFT! Crew stations that do not have dead, smashed mosquitos on the walls, toxic black mold on the ceilings, diabled fire alarms, and leaky roofs. Radios that work EVERY TIME I press the button. Cervical collars and ice packs!!! Thats right, the basic supplies right on every ambulance! We share calls and complete professional documentation about them upon their completion. We do not argue who's call it is; if someone calls for help WE DO OUR JOB FIRST and worry about who's call it was LATER. PROTOCOLS!!!!!! Uniform allowances that consist of more than a pair of boots and a shirt (5 pants, 5 shirts, 1 jacket, 1 pair boots, one belt, one glove holder, 1 badge EACH YEAR! The 5 concept is called FORESIGHT so if you damage one you still have 4 and they will relace what is damaged). In cayman, the EMS workers were the only uniformed profession that did not have matching uniforms and receive enough uniforms for a week of work. Security guards making $4 per hour had matching professional uniforms and badges! 911 dispatchers that are never in the public eye have badges and uniforms and yes....one complete uniform for each day of work. If you work OT you get PAID for it. One standard for all employees. Police and fire personnel that protect you and know how and when to cut a car apart! (This does not include those expat RCIP officers that bust their asses each and every day; you know who you are!) A supervisor that is just as certified to practice medicine as I am, is qualified for the job, and has EARNED the respect of his co-workers. A human resources department that knows how to resource humans and helps to develop the careers of employees by offering to pay for training, and to provide everything that is needed to maintain credentials. After all, most compainies pride themselves on having happy, educated, and competent staff. There are no child touchers, that is a FELONY and is grounds for immediate termination of employment, and revocation of your privilige to ever practice medicine again!! Policies and procedures that apply to EVERYONE, and progressive dicipline for the fuck ups; not just threatening memos. Being releived 15-20 minutes EARLY for your shift. Employees that do not forget that they work 4 days on and have 4 days off and are intellegent enough to extrapolate this repeating pattern into the next decade...... for your information......UNLESS YOU ARE NOTIFIED OF A CHANGE, IT DOES NOT CHANGE!!. Oh and if you take a class and fail to take or pass the exam....YOU AIN'T SHIT. Just the return of the brotherhood, professionalism, and respect for your fellow human being (no matter where they are from or what color they are) makes it all worth while. There is not enough sunshine, clear water, or tax free income that could ever get me to donate my skill and experience to the HSA ever again!!! I love it!
