Stick it out and demand change? You mean like the two CEO's that the HSA has gone through? Each didnt last 6 months. Check out the online past issues of Cayman Compass and Cayman Net News. Change is feared and resisted with the HSA. That is why the Clinical Manager quit after repeated breach of his contract by the HSA. He wrote an entire set of protocols that defined a scope of practice for Basics, Intermediates, and Paramedics. But they were never approved. Nobody showed up at meetings to provide input. Medics don't show up at inservice meetings to learn about new progressive drugs being added to the ambulance.
Talk to the people who worked there over the past 10 years. Talk to somone who has worked there for 5+ years and admits that change will never happen with current management.
You are talking about a place that tells you in your interview that they want to rebuild their department, add CE's, develope protcols, etc. and then resist all the change they say they want. Then they tell you this is not California, Canada, UK, etc., and "go back to your own country white boy".

Would you stay with a system that forces you to practice poor medicine? Would you push expired medications? Would you stay around and transport critical trauma patients to the only hospital, knowing that the hospital will sit on them for hours before calling an air ambulance to evacuate them Maimi? Would you want to work for an agency that even the physicians are jumping ship? Thats right. ER Doc's, and the HSA's ONLY cardiologist quit recently. It is career suicide working there.
Leaving the HSA has nothing to do with being a coward. It has to do with sticking up for your own rights, and values, and refusing to practice poor medicine in a counry that can more than afford to have nothing but the best, but refuse.
I work for an agency that demands excellence. We have pro-active physician advisors, a QA/QI process, and in depth protocols with progressive and liberal procedures and standing orders. An agency that takes pride in their patient care, and does not accept medics and emt's that don't. An agency that requires participation in CE's monthly, but schedules them at various times to meet the needs of all shifts. They pay for your expenses to go to conferences, classes, and other agency CE's. So that they know that they have emt's and medics that are up to date on their education. In Grand Cayman, none of this exists. Why work there? Out of dedication to tourists? I am of no good to touists there. The best thing they can do is have travel insurance, and demand an air ambulance back to the States, or wherever they are from.
Don't sit there and call people cowards, yellowbellies, and hypocrits. You have no idea what it is like to work there. You dont like it in LA, there are pleanty of other places to work, most of us have gone back to and found them. We initaited change, we cahnged where we worked, so that we could provide the quality care that we were trained to do.

Eloquently stated! In addendum, I would also like to comment on this subject. In fairness to Mr. New York, it really is hard to believe that such poor circumstances can exist. While experiencing it first hand I would call home and tell my former crewmates the stories and not one of them could believe me. These people are not cowards or yellow bellies. They feel that EMS workers worldwide should be on alert when pondering the prospect of working in the islands, you should be thankful that you finally have a resource like this. Others were not as fortunate. If you hate your job so much and do not want to heed the warnings of this blog why don’t you apply for the job on Med Hunters? Hell, there are plenty of positions open, you should not be turned down! Your phone interview will consist of the HR and EMS managers telling you that they have a “unique and dynamic service” and that they offer training, CE, protocols and more. The contract you sign only applies to what you are expected to do, they can breach it AND the labor law at will. When they call you ask them to fly you down for a face-to-face interview, a tour, and a ride-along; after all, this is a rather big decision to make over the phone. Ask them for a copy of the protocols and their CE program. THERE IS A REASON THAT THEY CONDUCT PHONE INTERVIEWS; it is a bit difficult to see the whole picture through a telephone. Many of the local guys are expired and complain because the H.S.A. does not afford them the opportunity to recertify their credentials nor offer CE’s. Think about it, if these guys became nationally registered, they could recertify through CE via mail like most NREMT’s. If you do not want to take their word(s) for it, read the online newspapers www.caycompass.com and www.caymannetnews.com and see what the national newspapers are printing about the H.S.A. 5 ER nurses, 4 ER physicians, 3 cardiologists, 2 CEO’s, and well over 10 paramedics in the past 2 years can not be wrong. (these are just the only ones I know about)

Band of Lies Ongoing By Cayman EMS Manager!!!!
What a last couple of days we've had here at the offices of Just Say No To Fraudamedics!!! Unbelievable!!!! Firstly, I just wanted to say thankyou to all the feedback we are getting in the "comments" section of the blog! You can also send your comments to certified-paramedic@hotmail.com!! We've been getting an extraordinary response from people all over the world, literally hundreds of emails have been pouring in everyday. The message is getting out! Ambulance service lacks staff

Despite a couple of hiccups recently, the Cayman Islands Ambulance Service continues to serve all districts in Grand Cayman on a 24–hour–per–day basis.
Ambulance Service manager Stephen Duval acknowledged that the service did not have all its stations open for a 12–hour period recently.
“We had one or two cases where we had to close a station because of mechanical problems or in urgent circumstances when we’ve fallen short in staff,” he said.
In one case, two of the service’s four vehicles were recalled for replacement of their wire harnesses, Mr. Duval said.
In addition to the mechanical problems, Mr. Duval said the service also faces an extreme staff shortage.
“But we’re in an aggressive recruitment process right now,” he said. “We’ve conducted quite a few interviews recently.”
In the interim, Mr. Duval said the staff members are being paid overtime to make sure there is island–wide 24–hours–per–day ambulance service.
“Only on rare occasions have we had had to close a station,” he said.
The government’s Ambulance Service operates from three strategically placed stations, with locations in West Bay, George Town and North Side.
Even if one station closes, all of Grand Cayman is still serviced by the other two stations, although response times could lengthen.
If forced to close a station in an emergency, Mr. Duval said North Side is not the preferred station to close because of its longer response time.
Mr. Duval said the service had a long–term plan to alleviate the staffing problems.
“Our goal is to develop a local training programme to get young, suitable people to come into the service,” he said.
“If we can train and recruit locally, it will go a long way in helping the sustainability of the Service. That’s the ultimate goal.”
This guy stephen Anthony Duval I have to admit is a gem. He really is. First he states that there was "1 or 2 cases of station closures due to mechanical problems and staff shortages". The mechanical problems he speaks of left West Bay station closed for the majority of 2 months along with the ongoing mechanical problems of the other ambulances! Also, for all the sun, fun, palm trees, clear ocean and tax free money, why is there a staff shortage????? Interesting question. Because maybe all this so called ranting and raving of this blog might have some valid truth?? Like the FOUR paramedics who ALL left within a 1 month time period recently. Maybe there is some truth that CERTIFIED paramedics don't like to be lied to in interviews, work with fraudamedics, work with racists and forced to work with no equiptment and ambulances that break down every week!! These are the truths this blog speaks about! I as the editor of this website have given sufficient proof of the fraudamedics false licenses and constant lies!!! Think about it for a second, if it was so great to work there, why has almost every ex-pat paramedic left the service while I was working in cayman?? For paramedics applying to the cayman EMS service you must ask yourselves these hard questions and investigate this fraudulant EMS manager deeper yourselves. You owe it to yourself, you will find what we are posting on this blog is the truth!!! Now for a couple of comments I received with a reply:

I have an idea. How about putting up a copy of the trip report where Stephen Duval gave a patient in Sinus Tach with pulses Atropine?
How about mentioning that they couldnt provide basic equipment and supplies on the ambulances that actually ran (such as C-Collars, non-expired medication, ice packs, etc.). There are no protocols, no QA/QI or other oversight process, and therefore, no way to really regulate the poor/dangerous medicine being practiced by this agency.
Did you metion that the "EMT" that didnt know what a nasal cannula was, was actually a MA from the medical floor who they had to reassign to the ambulance since she kept screwing up on the floor?
So to the guy commenting, The person that you are doubting his certification, I can verify that he is certified, as I have seen all of his cert's, and know where he works. He is not the only qualified medic that left the HSA due to the horrible work conditions and racist treatment by co-workers. This goes way back. If you check the recent cayman compass, you will see where Mr. Duval along with his lies stating that he only closes stations in emergencies (although he had them SCHEDULED to be closed periodically in Sept. and October)he stated that they are agressivly recruiting. This is because so many people have left recently. And people hate working there. Even some of the locals can't stand the place.
This is not a case of disgruntled employee syndrome. It is a case of medics being totally mistreated and taken advantage of by the HSA. It is a case of medics being lied to in their interviews, and mislead in the recruitment process. It is a case of being "lead" by an ignorant, underqualified fraud, who couldn't find his ass with both hands and a map.
Althought the author of this blog is sometimes a little harsh, and emotional, he does speak the truth. He is in fact a very smart guy, a great medic, and would give the shirt off his shaved back to help someone out.

I think I'll join in your quest of total Annihilation (career wise of course)of the service, if you can HONESTLY state why, since you are so concerned about human beings health, you are so principled and prehospital care standards concerned, etc., that you are no longer with the HSA in the Grand Caymans? Please give me a good answer, that I can join you on an allied quest.
Why leave all the tourist, since it's apparent you hate the locals, to suffer. I think a blog about coward, yellow bellies, hypocrits needs to be posted. Technically, you ARE a FRAUDAMEDIC too! Unless, you have a good answer for me.
Try working in LA, CA and then you can talk about problems! I can send you an application so you can come join my service and then start a blog about that too.

Why should we be responsible for how you react, if it is He who laid it there for us to find?That may not be the whole story. God may have witnessed many of your sins and negligences. He may be aware of something we might have done or will do if we are not arrested in our path of sinfulness by coming across a chance to do ill, and being caught red handed, be stopped. Does God tempt us in these ways? He does. Why does He do it?He lets us be tested like this so we may know what we are made of, or we may prove our trust in Him. Eve saw the fruit, and that it was good to eat. God made the fruit and the commandment not to eat it. God set the test, and she failed, as did her husband. Do we then lay the blame at His feet?
Whether we do or not, He takes responsibility for us at that juncture. God did not destroy the human couple, but set them in a world of tests and hardships. They needed the experience, and to see what their disobedience cost them. "Anonyomus" wants names, challanges validity of blog content
Ahhhhh, the comments are pouring in! In particular, I would like to address three that were posted by a fan named "anonymous".

When you say "all" do you mean ALL? I am not familiar with the Bracker’s but I have been told that they actually do CME's/ training there and are regarded to be a good group of people. To any CERTIFIED Bracker’s....YOU ARE PROFESSIONALS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Let us keep in mind that this blog is about UNCERTIFIED fraudamedics, THEIR deplorable work ethics, scams, and lack of professionalism. The thought that these individuals may have National Registry did in fact cross my mind......that is until I viewed the entry requirements to be an NREMT. It appears that one must actually be valid in the United States to be nationally registered. The following excerpts were cut and pasted from on the national registry's website at www.nremt.org . Can you count how many times the words "accepted Cayman Islands training program" appear??
Paramedic Entry Requirements
All individuals applying for NREMT-Paramedic registration must meet the following requirements to be eligible for national registration:
1) Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
2) Current National Registry or state certification at the EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate/85 or EMT-Intermediate/99 level.
3) Successful completion of a state-approved EMT-Paramedic educational program, within the past two (2) years, that equals or exceeds the behavioral objectives of the EMT-Paramedic National Standard Curriculum as developed and promulgated by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
4) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic educational program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate has maintained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate must submit documentation verifying completion of a current EMT-Paramedic refresher-training program within the past two (2) years.
5) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic educational program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate has not maintained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate should refer to the "NREMT-Paramedic Re-entry Policy" section on this site.
6) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic education program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate had never gained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate must complete a new, state-approved EMT-Paramedic educational program prior to application.
7) Truthfully complete the felony statement on the application and supply the documentation if necessary.
8) Truthfully complete a statement, which indicates the applicant has not been subjected to limitations, suspensions, or termination of his/her right to practice in a health care occupation or voluntarily surrendered a health care license in a state.
9) Submission of current approved CPR credential for the professional rescuer. Verification may be in the form of an instructor signature or copies of both sides of a current card which attests to competency over the following skills: adult, 1 and 2 person CPR; adult/child/infant obstructed airway maneuvers; child and infant CPR.
10) Signature of the EMT-Paramedic Education Program Director or the service director of training/operations verifying competence in the EMT-Basic skills as listed on the NREMT-Paramedic application. Applications submitted for each re-examination must also be completed and signed by the EMT-Paramedic Education Program Director or the service director of training/operations. Whenever the practical examination or a portion of the practical examination is also being tested.
11) Submission of a completed application attesting to the above requirements with fee; the official application must be signed by the Physician Medical Director of Training/Operations, attesting the candidate is in good standing within the education program or service and that he/she has completed the requisite education.
12) Successful completion of the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.
Lapsed Registration
To be reinstated once EMT-Paramedic National Registration has lapsed, the candidate must:
If lapsed within a two-year period, document successful completion of paramedic refresher training that meets all objectives of the National Standard EMT-Paramedic Refresher Curriculum within the past two (2) years; submit a new application and fee; and successfully complete the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.
If lapsed beyond a two-year period and still currently state-certified at the EMT-Paramedic level, document completion of paramedic refresher training that meets all objectives of the National Standard EMT-Paramedic Refresher Curriculum within the past two (2) years; submit a new application and fee; and successfully complete the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.

Anonymous which is worse...a spelling error or a medication error? Please refresh my memory, does Epi 1:1000 go IV bolus for adults? How about diphenhydramine for fevers? Does a esophageal intubation really "diffuse oxygen across the diaphragm"? Seems to me anyone that has had valid training or is CERTIFIED should know the answer! Could it be that they are fraudamedicing????

My real documents? Hmmmm. If my memory serves me correctly, I think I had to provide that to the Cayman Islands government to get my work permit. Go to the Health Council's office and ask to see any expats file because expats MUST be certified to get a job! Remember, I have to prove that I offer something that is not able to be filled by....how do they say that...." a suitably qualified Caymanian?" The next part is the best! A person named ANONYMOUS wants my real name....I love it!

When you say "all" do you mean ALL? I am not familiar with the Bracker’s but I have been told that they actually do CME's/ training there and are regarded to be a good group of people. To any CERTIFIED Bracker’s....YOU ARE PROFESSIONALS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Let us keep in mind that this blog is about UNCERTIFIED fraudamedics, THEIR deplorable work ethics, scams, and lack of professionalism. The thought that these individuals may have National Registry did in fact cross my mind......that is until I viewed the entry requirements to be an NREMT. It appears that one must actually be valid in the United States to be nationally registered. The following excerpts were cut and pasted from on the national registry's website at www.nremt.org . Can you count how many times the words "accepted Cayman Islands training program" appear??
Paramedic Entry Requirements
All individuals applying for NREMT-Paramedic registration must meet the following requirements to be eligible for national registration:
1) Applicant must be 18 years of age or older.
2) Current National Registry or state certification at the EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate/85 or EMT-Intermediate/99 level.
3) Successful completion of a state-approved EMT-Paramedic educational program, within the past two (2) years, that equals or exceeds the behavioral objectives of the EMT-Paramedic National Standard Curriculum as developed and promulgated by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
4) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic educational program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate has maintained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate must submit documentation verifying completion of a current EMT-Paramedic refresher-training program within the past two (2) years.
5) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic educational program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate has not maintained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate should refer to the "NREMT-Paramedic Re-entry Policy" section on this site.
6) If the candidate's initial EMT-Paramedic education program was completed more than two (2) years ago and the candidate had never gained state certification at the EMT-Paramedic level, the candidate must complete a new, state-approved EMT-Paramedic educational program prior to application.
7) Truthfully complete the felony statement on the application and supply the documentation if necessary.
8) Truthfully complete a statement, which indicates the applicant has not been subjected to limitations, suspensions, or termination of his/her right to practice in a health care occupation or voluntarily surrendered a health care license in a state.
9) Submission of current approved CPR credential for the professional rescuer. Verification may be in the form of an instructor signature or copies of both sides of a current card which attests to competency over the following skills: adult, 1 and 2 person CPR; adult/child/infant obstructed airway maneuvers; child and infant CPR.
10) Signature of the EMT-Paramedic Education Program Director or the service director of training/operations verifying competence in the EMT-Basic skills as listed on the NREMT-Paramedic application. Applications submitted for each re-examination must also be completed and signed by the EMT-Paramedic Education Program Director or the service director of training/operations. Whenever the practical examination or a portion of the practical examination is also being tested.
11) Submission of a completed application attesting to the above requirements with fee; the official application must be signed by the Physician Medical Director of Training/Operations, attesting the candidate is in good standing within the education program or service and that he/she has completed the requisite education.
12) Successful completion of the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.
Lapsed Registration
To be reinstated once EMT-Paramedic National Registration has lapsed, the candidate must:
If lapsed within a two-year period, document successful completion of paramedic refresher training that meets all objectives of the National Standard EMT-Paramedic Refresher Curriculum within the past two (2) years; submit a new application and fee; and successfully complete the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.
If lapsed beyond a two-year period and still currently state-certified at the EMT-Paramedic level, document completion of paramedic refresher training that meets all objectives of the National Standard EMT-Paramedic Refresher Curriculum within the past two (2) years; submit a new application and fee; and successfully complete the NREMT-Paramedic written and practical examinations.

Cayman Islands EMS- "The Laughing Stock of Paramedicine"
Ok folks, some of you might say I've been a little hard on these fraudamedics from the Cayman Islands......Fair enough...So today I'm going to go easy on them. I called the Florida and Michigan state registration boards and talked to them about all the fraudamedicking that has been going on down under in the Caymans. I told them there was fraudamedics giving controlled narcotics when there certifications had expired with their organizations and also there were a number of fraudamedics using the designation "EMT-P" after their names. I gave them ALL the names of the concerned individuals in question and they promptly assured me a investigation will begin shortly concerning this matter! Also, the lady at the Florida state registration board assured me that if this is the case, that ALL individuals found guilty in this matter will no longer be able to practice or attend further paramedic educational courses in the state of Florida again!!! Since these fraudamedics are currently not practicing in Florida they cannot be thrown in jail and be charged with FRAUD!!! Instead they can control them in a educational capacity where they will not be able to gain any certified florida state registration paramedic credits!!! Finally, the light is at the end of the tunnel! In other news, another international paramedic has contacted the cayman islands governor, health minister, health council, chairman of the board of the HSA and some other high ranking people to help them distinguish the difference between a fraudamedic and a paramedic! Education is power:) not that we expect anything to happen to the fraudamedics in terms of discipline, because in the cayman islands everything is swept under the carpet, even when a fraudamedic kills someone or says to a little boy " Hey LiL boy, want some candy, this wont hurt" :) Pictures will be posted very shortly to put things in perspective in terms of visual aids! i am currently dedicating a separate website to this little project.....stay tuned.........We're #5 on google and rising!!!! Stephen Duval's Pathetic Response!!!!
So finally after much "deep thought" Stephen Anthony Duval finally responded in his typical scoundral way, but not before he went up to Dr. Tadros the so-called medical director who you never hear from or see, whats wrong Stephen, is the heat getting a little to hot for comfort? The truth hurts! I'm still waiting for your certifications Stephen, that may take a little longer to get from you of course! Just understand one thing, everything stated on this website is the TRUTH!!!! It can be backed up with proof, documentation and yes, pictures. Here's Stephen's response to this website to all the EMS workers and management:

LETTER FROM THE EDITOR TO FRAUDAMEDICS
You disgust me, you all walk around on your high horses and think your paramedics. You are all an embarrassment to your community and the paramedic profession. I dare any of you to prove me wrong, post your proof on this website and if I am wrong I will apologize and take it down, it sickens me to know there are people like Stephen Duval giving medications when he is not certified. In most countries this is fraud and he would be thrown in jail and also liable with civil penalties. Prove me wrong Stephen!!!!! Show the world your current certifications which will be verified, show us all your ACLS and PALS instructorship cards, he parades around teaching medical students with Sherman Myles when neither of them are certified paramedics, absolutely disgusting. please show us your valid credentials Stephen. Of course he cannot, because he is a fraud!!!!! He should be made to work the cash register at Curley’s, I mean Hurley’s. But alas, it is not you or I that suffer, it will be the caymanian citizens that suffer through there negligence and unprofessional ways. But have no fear, your secret will no longer be so well kept, the international paramedic community at large will be aware of your misdeeds. Every paramedic forum and website will have this web linked to them. Yahoo and Google will rank us #1 on there search engines and you all will be exposed to your local community and world community at large. We are simply stating the truth about yourselves and the Hospital to prevent other certified paramedics from committing career suicide by coming to work there. Uniform allowances that consist of more than a pair of boots and a shirt (5 pants, 5 shirts, 1 jacket, 1 pair boots, one belt, one glove holder, 1 badge EACH YEAR! The 5 concept is called FORESIGHT so if you damage one you still have 4 and they will relace what is damaged). In cayman, the EMS workers were the only uniformed profession that did not have matching uniforms and receive enough uniforms for a week of work. Security guards making $4 per hour had matching professional uniforms and badges! 911 dispatchers that are never in the public eye have badges and uniforms and yes....one complete uniform for each day of work. If you work OT you get PAID for it. One standard for all employees. Police and fire personnel that protect you and know how and when to cut a car apart! (This does not include those expat RCIP officers that bust their asses each and every day; you know who you are!) A supervisor that is just as certified to practice medicine as I am, is qualified for the job, and has EARNED the respect of his co-workers. A human resources department that knows how to resource humans and helps to develop the careers of employees by offering to pay for training, and to provide everything that is needed to maintain credentials. After all, most compainies pride themselves on having happy, educated, and competent staff. There are no child touchers, that is a FELONY and is grounds for immediate termination of employment, and revocation of your privilige to ever practice medicine again!! Policies and procedures that apply to EVERYONE, and progressive dicipline for the fuck ups; not just threatening memos. Being releived 15-20 minutes EARLY for your shift. Employees that do not forget that they work 4 days on and have 4 days off and are intellegent enough to extrapolate this repeating pattern into the next decade...... for your information......UNLESS YOU ARE NOTIFIED OF A CHANGE, IT DOES NOT CHANGE!!. Oh and if you take a class and fail to take or pass the exam....YOU AIN'T SHIT. CAYMAN ISLANDS EMS MANAGER A TOTAL FRAUD!!
Well, well, well. look what we have here:) As luck would have it, i stumbled across the links for the michigan state and florida state paramedic-emt's state registration boards which is public information:) These neat little website's tell you all about if someone is state registered or not, and how long ago there registration lapsed!!!! i love it!!! All you have to do is type in the paramedic or emt's name which in this case is Stephen Anthony Duval and there designation emt or paramedic, and voooooooila!!!! an ocean of information is at your finger tips!!

Dennis Fennell- Who failed the michigan state exams and school exams! On the staff schedule he's listed as an EMT-P, ya right. Dennis is the one with the delightful personality. You just feel like driving a 12 inch steel nail through his head every time you look at him....keep up the great work dennis, Dennis is off the "rig" because he has a supposed back injury. Instead the "brilliant" Stephen Duval lets him come in the office where he surf's the internet all day long and goes outside and chat's with his friends the security guard staff all the while still collecting 3000 a month for all the hard earned contributions he makes to EMS while surfing the internet for car parts, way to go Dennis, keep up the hard work, hopefully the cocktail of anti-depressants your on will make your eyeballs straighter:)
Sherman Myles- who proclaims he passed the state boards and is now being paid as a paramedic!!!! he's nowhere to be found on the florida registry as a paramedic..Figure that one out!
Kendal Connor- who is nowhere to be found on any of the websites and shoots cayman wildlife with his rifle while on duty at northside station and is late everyday 30 minutes to work, way to go kendal, keep up the good work in your community, if only Kendal knew how to read this he would feel angry:)
Steven McLaughlin- AKA "The Black Panther", here's a guy who is also nowhere to be found on the websites, what do you expect from a guy who's email address is killthemstrong@hotmail.com. Now thats scary! you can see why we expats get treated so well here:)
Gifford Prendergast- this guy is registered as an emt but thinks hes a paramedic and knows it all!! hes been off the job now for almost 3 years now with a "back injury" and now he's the acting supervisor, scary... he hurt is back with that "child touching" incident a couple years ago:), hopefully jiffy doesnt trade his taxi in for a childrens school bus, he has never been the same, if you know what i mean:)

U.S.A., Canadian and U.K. Paramedics-PLEASE READ
Dear curious paramedics,The cayman islands is trying hard to recruit you to come to "paradise" and work. Paradise not only consists of palm trees and white sand but a healthy work environment with a team commitment to excellence and patient care, which does not exist. To bad the palm trees and white sand are the only good thing here to enjoy. As for the employment here this is the only way I can explain it, "career suicide"!!!!! This blog is really for the paramedics around the world who are considering working here in the cayman islands and would like a fair and honest assessment by past paramedics who have worked here and present ones as well. In the upcoming weeks this blog will state factual evidence backed up by paperwork, current news reports and testimonials from all sorts of paramedics. Hopefully this will help you make an educated decision if you would like to work here. HR manager of the HSA Judy Miller is great at slamming, paramedics that is....Former Cinical Co-ordinator of EMS Jason Dardano was owed over 25 thousand dollars in monies owed to him by the HSA upon completion of his tour here at the HSA on september 15th, 2006, instead Judy Miller does what she does best and royally screws him up with a paycheck grand total of just under 5 thousand dollar paycheck, thats 20 thousand short Judy, just in case you dont know the math!! thanks again for taking care of us paramedics Judy, such a loving canadian gal she is.......have no fear Jay, apparently rumour has it that another CERTIFIED paramedic is on the case, along with the labour board.....other interesting news here in the cayman islands has another CERTIFIED paramedic being suspended because the health council did not approve his paramedic license, wait a minute, hold the press, you mean Dr. Vlitos the dentist didnt certify him? Who is this guy? ohhh, he's the dentist who is in charge of certifying the paramedics, that makes total sense now:).....i guess they have enough local certified guys here that are paramedics, NOT!!!! to start off with the manager hasnt been certified in over 5 years( fear not, in the next week here on this blog, pictures, profiles and copies of all the local workers EXPIRED certifications will be posted here for proof and a good laugh) and is it possible you say?? yes, i think there also may be a charged criminal working in the EMS department, proof will come in the form of a certified criminal record check( coming shortly for all to see and peruse at your leisure:) .........i will continue posting some more great events and news in the upcoming days, this is just a taste....P.S.
